Unauthorized Activity Warning 180 Day Quarantine

So today I got home from work and logged on to Elden Ring at the main menu I got a warning.

"Unauthorized activity has been detected on this account you have been penalized."

"yata yata yata with a 180 day quarantine"

So I did the following tests:

- I went and looked it up and did a file integrity check to verify files.

- I uninstalled and reinstalled.

- I deleted all my saves.

None of these helped or removed the message and it apparently says this in the warning that doing these will not remove them.

So I got on to see if I could play online still and I am able to co-op, invade and duel.
I played with my wife and cousin for a few hours and it seems be good online. I am just confused as to why I got a warning penalty for unauthorized activity... the only thing I can think of was when I made a back-up of my saved games a week ago.

were you invaded/co-op with a hacker recently, or did you cheat in deathbed smalls?

Could also be due to disconnecting from online too much

I wouldn't be sure if I was invaded or dueled anyone hacking. I just assumed they were generally stronger even if it didn't make no sense since i'm min/maxed hardcore. Co-op I wouldn't be able to tell either.

and what is deathbed smalls? and no I haven't used any mods if that's what that's applying towards.

I did disconnect quite a bit last week during duels in fight clubs.. I would be in the enemies world for about 3-5 minutes then the game would crash but that's about it. This happened for about 2 hours straight.

it might been the fight club disconnects

Yeah, no I don't own those undies. I didn't know you could spawn in items.
I'm not to worried since I can still play with my cousin and wife but just kinda odd that my account was obviously flagged for something.

I wanted to do an update this is officially removed now from my login it no longer shows up. I am assuming From Software had a false negative check on some of the accounts and mine was one of them or it was due to unintentional disconnects.

yeah, happed to me to, the most suspicious activity i got was from my computer going to sleep or turning itself off, thus causing unstable frame rate

answering a old post that is related to a false ban wave is useless, if you get now the 180 days ban it is caused by cheating, if you only get the inapropiate activitiy warning it is caused by damaged game files, verify them.

Cheaters can't get people banned. Since, like, the 2nd patch or something.

That gives a different type of ban that lasts something like 12 hours iirc.


@OP:
You most likely had, and equipped while online, some cut content armor. You may have picked it up from someone before the patch that made them un-droppable and probably had no idea it was cut content.
It's also entirely possible that your save got corrupted. There's a bug causing that, it seems.

You might be able to email Bamco about this. I had a similar warning in DkS3 and emailing them sometimes helps. Although they're not obligated to help so YMMV.
