And he is super relentless there is no time to heal.

Its just annoying at this point.

Boss runs at you. Jumps forward with increased momentum. Somehow slows down time and moves slower in air. Waits. Then grabs.

Makes zero sense and its completely reasonable why people would have trouble with this.

they all some kind of delay. also best time to heal is when he does his roar thing. running away from him makes it hard for him to actually hit you, so you can stall the fight very easily and just pick your shots

this game has been pulling stuff like this since the very first boss with margit levitating in the air for half a second to throw you off. that's just the kind of game it is, unfortunately

Yes its stupid because of how often they do it. I am just amazed that people are flabbergasted at how its unreasonable for someone to be struggling to understand something that makes no logical sense whatsoever.

It's about the design, not the difficulty. Plenty of bosses are just not fun to fight irregardless of whether you can stomp them or not (looking at you Micolash, Host of Bad Boss Design). That being said, I don't agree with the OP on this boss.

Micolash is a completely joke of a boss fight, IDK why anyone would take it seriously or look at it critically. You're basically just chasing a loon through a foggy maze and beating the ♥♥♥♥ out of him, he has the call beyond thing that can kill you but that's about it. I'd say the Gideon fight in this game is unironically worse than Micolash.

One Reborn is a punching bag with cool music, indifferent
Rom is weird but cool as a gimmick fight, I hate how it shows up in a chalice dungeon later tho
Celestial Emissary is a meme and not even that cool to begin with, bad boss
Mergo's Wet Nurse has way too much downtime, mediocre boss
Witch of Hemwick I legit forgot existed, weird boss but inoffensive so whatever

Darkbeast is good but the camera sucks in these games

So basically, you're trying to heal right after he grabbed/hit you, which puts you in an aimation, for him to easily hit you when you're rushing to heal?

♥♥♥♥ Rom in particular, there is not a boss I hate more than Rom. I don't really like One Reborn, Celestial Emissary, Mergo's Wet Nurse, Darkbeast Paarl or Witch of Hemwick. Ebrietas is a cool boss, although that charge hit box makes me dislike her (just like Malenia, one move kills it).

My favorite bosses are Ludwig, Kos, Maria, Gherman, and Vicar Amelia.

Oh, and ♥♥♥♥ Lawrence.

See I like Micolash a lot because I think the lore behind him and the idea of him running away is interesting because it has never been done in a souls game. I also enjoyed One Reborn because of the bell gimmick but the seemingly random damage output the boss can do is a bit of a problem (another problem with Micolash).

However, I found Ebrietas to be mediocre. Since I simply ran up to her and smacked ass (something I did for Paarl, Cleric Beast, and Amelia) for about 7 minutes with the only thing of note being the ranged attack she did and the charge. I just think that the boss "running away" isn't objectively poorly designed or "bad" when I look at it as "unqiue". The only real problem is that he can randomly one shot you which is a bunch of bull.

I mean yea, that was what I was originally trying to say. He's a non-boss, his fight is more about the experience of chasing a weirdo in a cage hat around than being an actual boss fight, and I appreciate him way more than say Gideon in this game, that just stands there spamming magic until you stunlock him to death.

a lot of bosses in demons souls are also more about the experience than being an over the top, artorias wannabe. i kinda hate how much people rag on the bosses in that game.
