Torrent is slow

My grandma can walk faster than his max speed. Dude always looks like he’s just galloping, never sprinting. All games with horseback riding seem to always make this mistake. That’s why in games like Skyrim, mods come out to make the horses at least twice as fast

do u use a controller, if yes, does it move at the same speed when u use a keyboard? (if it doesnt move at the same speed its a max dead-zone issue)
also kinda obvious but theres a sprint button

There was something blurted out here awhile ago that I can not confirm, and I'm sure everyone in this post would like confirmed.

It is this, 'that your dex will/ can directly effect Torrent's speed, and base.
Now I know because vigor messes with Torret that the higher your vigor the less the bs mechanics of the horse will just throw you off randomly, but I can't speak to any other stats.
