There are too many int incantations
The holiest of all the incants like order blade, rings of light, and litany of proper death all have int requirements. It really interferes with the ability to create good builds since not a lot of people have the points to spare for both stats especially when youre trying to stay below a cap.

Before people start saying "Muh lore" and "Muh fundamentalism" please just save it because there are plenty of ways the lore has been tossed aside for gameplay already. Miquella created an entire sanctuary and basically studied his whole life trying to find a way to cure scarlet rot yet we can cure it by just burning it off or eating some freaking moss.

Pretend they are pyromancies or hexes from previous games.

You are aware every other souls game had hybrid spells like this right? Hell, to play pyromancer or use hexes effectively in almost all dark/demon souls you needed to go 40int/40fai to get the most out of the build. The only exception to the 40/40 rule was dark souls 1 which had pyromancy scale off the catalyst and dex.

I mean unless you are going death spells, you only need to go 45/45 in this game to hit the final soft caps for spell power. Keep in mind this isn't that much more investment than having to get level 80 in either intelligence or faith.

There are only like 8 of 'em. How many total incants are there? Almost 100?

and there's also a bunch of faith sorceries. and int/faith requirements on weapons. it's almost like From wanted to encourage people stepping out of the single stat comfort zone.

Maybe they dont give a ♥♥♥♥ about your stupid imaginary level cap?

Maybe increase your imaginary level cap, since, you know, its imaginary anyway?

there's a bunch of sorceries that require faith, too. they're pretty obviously for faith/int builds, idk why variety is suddenly bad. the only bonehead decision here was to have corhyn's quest require the usage of law of regression at 37 int, but even then you can pretty easily meet the requirements through stat boosting gear/physicks/great runes.

Not gonna lie, im also dissapoint Faith(ignore pyro) does not have more varienty and powerfull offensive incantation. Jelous of 95% int sorcery are offensive while faith mostly act as an "supply/support/upgrade".

and then... some "incantation" suddenly require high amount of int stats. My faith build is ruin but thank god I have a lot of Larva Tear to spam respec.:praisesun:

A lot of them are decently powerful but leave you so insanely vulnerable the trade off isn't worth it. The casting times could do with a buff, I don't hate the idea of a moment of vulnerability but it's just excessive. Also why tf does Scarlet Aeonia have like a 3 second recovery animation? It looks cool and cinematic, but it's so insanely impractical.
