Quick question about Frostbite
Frostbite as a status effect builds up, does a chunk of damage, and lowers the target's defense and stamina regen.
Is it like Poison where applying more frost does nothing since the status is on them, or is it like bleed where applying more frost will do the damage chunk again?

First alternative. You can hit them with fire and it will remove frost and allow it to proc again

if i got fire dmg in one hand and frost in the other it will never build?

It's a mix of both. You'll see them with a slight frost aura around them. That represents the defense lowering part of the proc. The Frostbite won't happen again while that is active, so like Timbermaw said, hit em with fire in any form to remove that, and then you can hoarfrost stomp to your heart's content <3

It does less damage than bleed when applied, but it works just like bleed. When frostbite's buildup reaches full, it resets, deals damage, and then applies the debuff to them giving -resist -stamina regen

It deals significantly less burst damage than bleed (maybe 1/3), but also increases the damage you deal with other attacks by 20%

Both are useful, choose whichever matches your build/preference.

Yes, fire damage clear frostbite bar.

No if you're going for JUST frost procs then that is viable, but you're better off just going with a bleed build at that point since it does more damage in general. The fire is negating the defense debuff that frost puts on them, but not the status buildup or the damage. Faith for the fire and arcane for bleed is a stronger build in that regard, then you can use the dragon communion ice breath to proc the frostbite.

if you have frost in right hand you can just use that weapon to build up and then when you need to reset fire is in left hand.
