The tradeoff is that the game doesn't take up near eight times the amount of hard disk space, which to me is more than worth the longer update period.
Yeah, I know. I was a game dev. This is just poor asset allocation. REALLY poor.
Some people are reporting that restarting Steam helps.
i'm seeing this issue with alot of unreal engine/epic games, and they all just overwritte the entire game. like FK your hard drives we dont care
