Dragon disappeared

I fought thw dragon in the north where the blue witch has her tower and i nearly got him but i was outside the combat zone at the end and he dissapeared. When i ho back he doesn’t walk around anymore….

U can find him later in Rannis (blue witches) questline.

This happened to me too, got the dragon down past 1/2 hp and it just... Dissolves away for me to never see again.

it's a coward and ran away. You'll meet it again some point later

It is by design. It's supposed to happen. They say you meet him again later, though I didn't.

That dragon is one of two in the game that flees the scene when its HP gets low. You will encounter it again later and then you can kill it off for realsies.

Oh, okay. I saw a video of someone fighting it and it just vanished mid-swing. Must be a bug, rather than intended.

Yeah mine just sorta jumped away and as I was approaching it dissolved into magic dust. It was weird.

Had the same thing with a couple of the dragons, managed to hunt them all down eventually though :)

I just stay away from them. I'm a bit scarred from DS3. Hated that Dragon in Ringed City. :|

First souls game, I hunt them for sport as payback for the annoyance I suffered fighting the magma wyrm guarding the moonveil when I started the game.

Best trick so far is killing 2 at once with the giant meteor attack in an almighty apocalyptic one shot :)
