Best spirit ash summon for THESE THREE specific bosses?

[Dreadnaught]

1. Dragonlord Placidusax
2. Malenia
3. Final Boss

I used mimic for most of the game and did amazing until the nerf made the AI braindead
I've also tried a full upgraded Black Knife Niche but it has proven quite useless...

any thoughts?

My only response to this is either ...
1. You haven't realized/been told the mimic was actually nerfed and is no way viable for any of these bosses i just listed
or
2. You are aware of the mimic nerf and you are basically saying there are NO spirit summons that are viable to late game because I already know mimic is useless here and if hes still the best then they are all useless

Lhutel is a really strong ash, in my opinion. Though I use Finlay for the most part.

Mimic was the best for melenia least before nerf, did a blood stack build to kill her, you're only other chance on her is to find one that is super tanky and can eat her attacks and draw aggro so you can get attacks in

black knife tiche. also mimic is still good i did ng+3 and with my build we just dunk on bosses.

Finlay is the rot one right? I've heard just about as much good things of her as I have the Niche but decided to try niche first....I guess there not harm in trying out Finlay a few times on each boss

Yes, Cleanrot Knight Finlay. I don't think she's particularly amazing? But I don't have much point of reference for comparison . But she has some utilities, like the buff she applies and the halo scythe spam to draw the boss's attention. Very cool either way.

Lore wise, she carried Malenia all the way back to the Haligtree after she afflicted Radahn with the scarlet rot. So at least lore wise she's absolutely legendary.

Mimic is still the best imo. Other summons seem to do really crap damage or kinda just walk around like lost puppies. After beating the game the only ones that really seemed to save my ass are mimic and the wolves.

Mimic or Tiche. Maybe Crystallian. Depends on where your shortcomings are in the individual encounter.

Why is OP acting like a house plant unable to fathom that Mimic is still the best ash even after having been nerfed. Doesn't matter if the ai is dumb as rocks now, at spirit lvl+10 it has enough hp to distract any boss for the duration of the fight ( not to mention being able to heal and drop healing stones infinitely ).

Now for a non-condescending answer: try the stormhawk ashes. For Elden beast and Dragonlord its ability to close gaps quickly would be useful in those arenas. For malenia its ability to stagger would also be useful though it doesn't have the healthpool of mimic.

i'd suggest kristoff for placidusax since he uses both lightning and piercing damage

for malenia i'd probably pick ogha since malenia has non existant poise and will fall flat on her ass every time she's hit with a greatbow

but imo mimic is still the best option if you set it up properly: when activating mimic have only specific things that you want your mimic to use. if you have 10 spells, 2 weapons, 5 consumables then the mimic will simply spaz out. give only 1 or 2 things to the mimic so that it can only do those 1 or 2 things.
example setups:
- blasphemous blade and uplifting aromatics result in a very tanky mimic
- any charm and swarm of flies result in bleed spam
- any charm and great heal result in a heal bot
- any charm and aspect of the crucible horns result in a control bot
- two great shields and heavy armor give you a brick wall
- any spell with a lot of projectiles like crystal torrent or barrage will result in frequent posture breaks
etc.

i dont think it's good for malenia at least anymore. it kinda just runs into her attacks and she heals so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ much you're fighting like 2x malenia healthbar

Black Knife Tiche actually has a great toolset to mess her up. Great dodges, can flatten her, the ranged attack is great damage and lowers max HP pool- sometimes she screws up like every spirit but majority of the time she's dancing around, darting in and out, throwing malenia on her back and just being great overall not letting her heal too much.

Depends on your playing style, if you can hold the aggro on yourself the Latenna on max level will do probably more damange than you, because shes does not move shes does a lot of damage attacking very fast which also helps you keep the stagger buildup.
