This game completely buried Horizon Forbidden West

I thought BOTW did the original one dirty but damn, Elden Ring buried the sequel 50ft deep in an unmarked grave. The subreddit is a graveyard and no one is talking about it anymore.

For such a huge AAA exclusive game, it sure came and went fast.

It is not, Elden ring is an amazing game but so is Forbidden west, it CLEARLY has alot of work and passion put into it, the PS Exclusive games usually do.

Ps exclusives are the worst of all exclusives.

Nintendo is the only company with exclusives worth playing. Unfortunately you have to play them with a console that has the same power as a mid ranged 2017 cell phone.

i mean aside from nintendo, it's the only console that gets exclusives nowadays so i'd say it's kinda true by technicality

regardless, they're two different genres catering to two different tastes in games.
I like the Horizon series but am unable to play forbidden west so i can't really comment on its quality overall, but it seemed pretty well received

Honestly, Elden Ring has some issues, but it's better than the majority of AAA crap in the same way that Dark Souls 2 is better than the majority of AAA crap. We criticise it out of love, not because we think the alternatives are better

Playstation exclusives are mostly over the shoulder cinematic action games, and almost always formulaic and feel more like interactive movies than games. Been this way since the PS4.

i mean to be 100% fair, some devs did actively mock elden ring on their twitters and had to go on lock because of it, that is at some level acceptance this game affected theirs.

like i won't say it affected it in any "major" way, but its something to note, there is overlap between arpgs afterall

Not really, it was one Horizon dev. The other two were a Ubisoft dev (Valhalla came out too long ago to be affected), and a Nixxes dev that was complaining about PC issues. Gamers showed how retarded they are as well by dogpiling the Ubisoft UI/UX guy considering Ubisoft games have an unreal amount of UI/UX customisation to tailor the experience how you want it. Just go into the Valhalla options and see, you can make it brutally hard by adjusting how much damage enemies take and how much they do to you, etc, and can get rid of as many hud and log elements as you want. I have less hud on my screen in Valhalla than i had in ER.

he kinda deserved seeing that he talked so much about UX while he being the person that worked in BF 2042 UX, also he did only join ubisoft after this i think.

u mean fortunately, cause that makes most of them playable on pc, emulated, in higher resolution and framerate, with texture packs

I think it'll see a second life when it is ported to PC. I love HZD, it is one of my favourite games ever, but I don't have a PS5, and the PS4 version looks very disappointing in comparison, even if it is as good or slightly better than HZD for graphics and performance. So, I prefer to wait until the game gets ported.

Forbidden West is a Sony exclusive, it should be buried by any popular cross-platform game.

I wish Guerilla Games would go back to making Killzone games.

God, Killzone was one of my fave shooters on PS3 definitely would love a new one.

Killzone remastered trilogy when?!?! I loved the original trilogy and would love to see it remastered or someone to play it on modern hardware outside of emulation.

Everyone with even a little common sense knew ER would be taking all the attention, regardless of its quality. It doesn't help that both are open world games that take time to play through and no one with a job is going to be playing both games at the same time.

Horizon should have been delayed until the ER hype passed. That's what some developpers chose to do and it's for the best.
