controller disconnect
Anyone else having an issue with xbox one controller disconnecting and then when it reconnects none of the face buttons work? happens once every time I play which forces me to quit out of the game completely and restart. doesn't occur again after that, but it gets really annoying to have to do this during a fight...

yea i've tried that, but for some reason all of the face buttons refuse to work after the disconnect. I'll even plug a wired xbox controller into my PC and same thing. Analog sticks work, but face buttons just stop.

I had the same problem. What ended up fixing it for me was changing the wireless adapter to USB 2.0 (from 3.0)

There are different revisions of xbox Controllers out there and some of them got this problem since the directx Updates of Windows about 6 weeks ago.

Try update xbox controller in accessories app if available.

bro i have the same issue with my ps4 controller, and none of these comments helped me. i blame microsoft, considering how many bugs there are in windows 11

Well, this is still relevant. Was a solution ever found for this? This happens to my PS4 controller too. 'Direction and analog works but not face or shoulder buttons.'

I can't really play while it's charging because the port on is damaged and disconnects when moved.

I have same issue on a dualsense ps5 controller that I use wired because its quicker to unplug and replug it, sometimes 3 times in a row so it works again
