NG+ losing big percentage of runes when i go and pick them back up
this seemed like a bug back in Stormveil and it would take away 20 percent of your runes when you die there and retrieval, but im in liurnia and died and lost 80k out of a pool of 280 k runes, so only had 200k when i went to go pick them back up. Wtf is happening? This is pretty devestating rune loss.

KILL THE GATEKEEPER NPC who tells you the shortcut.

He's literally taking a % of your runes when you die.

Not a bug.

It's not a bug. Do you remember the gate guy who let you in and also stomped on Godrick's corpse after you defeated him?

He's the one who steals your runes while in the castle every time you die. Go kill him.

In Stormveil it is the guy at the front gate that is stealing your souls when you die. Shouldn't happen in Liurnia.

I don't know about Liurnia, but in Stormveil Castle that's not a bug. There has a NPC stolen your runes, the Gatekeeper Gostoc is a thief.

He sells an ancient smithing stone later, you will miss it if you kill him

Gostoc steals 30% of your runes if you die in the castle each time. If for some reason you thought he was actually helping you.

He's also the one who shuts the door on you when you enter the room with the knight in it. You can even hear him laugh behind you. He's a jerk and is trying to kill you to harvest your runes over and over again. Remember, when you die your body is lootable too.

If you kill that NPC I think you will miss a +25 upgrade once he goes to the throne room. Not sure tho, he just sold it to me after that.

Because he is following you outside to feed his childern everytime you die!
