Best game i have ever played in my life

went through all stages of grief while fighting Malenia solo, got depressed for losing a ♥♥♥♥ ton of runes by falling off a cliff, grew anxiety cause everything's trying to kill you, lost all the nerves in hero's graves...

overall great game 👍🏻

Do I like souls games? No. Do I play them? Yes. The level design in dark souls 3 was absolutely inspirational. I hated the game, but I played it anyways. I did not purchase this for myself, I had been watching some cool people play it, and one of them bought it for me so I could take part.( via the multi-player mod.)

The open-world aspect is pretty empty. SADLY. I expected more because I have always been a big fan of this series-level designs. It has inspired my own work. I was on chemotherapy when I played dark souls 3. It sucked, but I just HAD to see what the next area's theme was. It was just so cool. Probably not the best game to play while suffering so much, but I could not help myself. It was like exploring a museum.

Open World is one of my fav game genres... but it's extremely hard to pull off. Extremely.
I would never play this game myself, but I had amazing people to play this with, so? I..." endured" this game for them. I ended up being forced to play with an extremely broken Xbox 360 controller with a 1-2 second input lag. That definitely made the game SOOO much harder, but after like 30 hours I started getting used to it. I ended up enjoying fighting enemies and bosses. So much so, that I would rush over to any strong enemy I saw, just for practice.
Listen, I'm not a racist.....BUT.... if I see a tree sentinel or a giant? I'ma pull-up.
I had hoped to 100% the entire game with each ending. I have to find someone to do this with now, but this game will >FOREVER< have an >INCREDIBLE< spot in my heart, because of the warmest memories that come with it. Bittersweet truly. But so worth it.

This is an amazing game to play with FRIENDS via multi-player mod. I don't think you should play this game by yourself, it's just not the same.

Many of the boss arenas are too small, so the bosses tend to stick outside of the map walls, making it harder to tell what attack is about to land. Which also makes the camera have a stroke. So ...that's interesting.
The camera isn't great in general either. Sometimes focusing on enemies, the large ones, will get you killed faster than if you were unfocused. Weird. I think they need to really iron that out. Regardless if it's intentional. I feel the game does things like this on purpose to make the experience harder, but it does not cook well in the end.

My other complaints? There should be an attack cancel. Every. other. boss. fight. game. has one. I understand they're trying to make the game hard, but there should be some sort of cancel system in place, within reason. obviously.

The collisions! MY GOSH the collisions! Why does this game give you a box collision? That's so archaic. Who even makes games with box collisions anymore? That's like a huge nono? There should be a fitted collision for a game that requires this much focus and accuracy. It's weird because not all the enemies have a box collision but most do. INCLUDING THEIR ATTACKS. INCLUDING YOU!
So you can just get stuck on random small props in areas when trying to dodge and.... well! SPLAT.
I will say some of the attack collisions are spot-on for some enemies/bosses. BUT.......It's such an easy fix to add fitted collision. Really. I dont understand why they don't have it.
If you dont like dying a lot then don't play this game. If you don't have patience? Dont. But it gets so much easier once you practice. Dying is just funny most of the time.
If you have level headed friends ? PLAY IT RIGHT NOW WITH THEM!

I mean c'mon. I killed malenia on my 3rd try. No damage. No summons. No magic.
I killed fire giant new game + first try. Only got hit twice-ish , no magic, no summons! Barely on torrent. I'm just that epic.
I killed lightning dragon second try, No magic, no summons. Easiest boss in the game.
I think I will forever be a Souls fan after this experience. One I was very blessed to be given with this game. And I dont even like the game. It just shows you that friends can really change the perspective of a negative experience. And that's why i love this game and absolutely recommend it.

Ignore my grammar. Ive gotten 8 hours of sleep in 3 days. Thank you to whoever made seamless co-op a thing. Best 150-ish hours ive ever had in a game.
