Personally I think YouTuber Cameos in games are generally in bad taste for a number of reasons, but my gosh it sure seems like controversy almost always follows when indie devs do it.

If I learned anything from the Johnny Depp affair is that people should be treated as innocent until proven guilty. This being said, I really don't care for internet celebs' cameos in my games. I don't know what Jirard's ties with Sabotage Studio was to warrant such a treatment but, as far as I'm concerned, the character could be removed from the game regardless of the ongoing polemic.

Know how I know you don't know what you're talking about? Because anyone can trace what the accusations are, and what they mean, because they're all public record. Sometimes the court of law is important because relevants facts are brought to light, but all the relevant facts are right there, for anyone to also verify. If you bothered to check them at least.

in this case, you don't need a court to prove it. the evidence is there and was put out by OPEN HAND, the literal defendant. ignoring it is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ thing to do.

Maybe because he changed his mind about said Threats? If you don't end up sueing someone, then keeping the threats would make you look silly in the end.

Note that i never saw this Video and i only heard about how Jirad might sue this two Guys.

Personally i think that Both Karl and Ordnary should stop making non proven accusations in future Cases/Videos. to avoid potentially uneccessary lawsuits.

16:50 to ~17:40. In consultation with lawyers, calls the accusation slanderous/libelous (which is ridiculous since he admits to embezzlement and charity fraud in the video... this means that is not slander to say he embezzled or committed fraud, merely a statement of fact)

If you watch someone rob a store, how can you claim they are guilty? You aren't a court of law right? Does it really matter what you saw happen? I really hope my sarcasm is getting through here. Anyway there is enough proof of textbook fraud and embezzlement by not only pictures and tax forms, but by Jirards own admissions. So that is all I'm going to say on that front.

With all that being said though, I say you don't remove/change the completionist NPC. What you do is that when you pay him he runs away. Then the next day he gets replaced with the actual trustworthy NPC.

I'd argue that, if there are so many damning evidences that Jirard did indeed misuse the money he collected from his charity, it should be brought to court. Cons are legally liable under most jurisdiction. Not that I care beyond having his character removed from the game.
