Similar games like this one ?
I really liked This Bed We Made, it's relax, no combat, no jumpscare, just intrigue, mystery, investigation and light detective gameplay, third-person and a good little emotional story, and it's short.

Please drop other games like this. It can be first person and longer tho.
I just bought The Painscreek Killings and INFRA, so far so good.

It depends on what you're in it for. This game was basically a straight mashup/remix of Gone Home and Sunset.

If you're in it for the walking simulator type game, semi-cinematic and somewhat interactive with puzzles while the story unfolds, there's a bunch, like What Remains of Edith Finch, Firewatch, and The Vanishing of Ethan Carter.

If you like the investigation aspect, or having the story unfold through environmental bread-crumbs, probably the closest match to this one in the genre is Scene Investigators. Some of the best include Return of the Obra Dinn, and The Case of the Golden Idol.

Be aware that the investigation games are quite a bit brainier than this one.

I would like to recommend The Council. It was so relaxing to me, I like the art work, meeting hystorical figures like George Washington, 3rd person. Even the story gets a bit weird in the late game, I was quite addicted to the setting and came back to Mr. Mortimer's Island.

Very interesting, and the first episode is free so I'll give it a try!
