www.WZ2100.net. They have been working on this game for years, sometimes it's great, and sometimes they break the hell out of it lol.

Heads up, dont use this version on steam, its not supported by the devs on the WZ 2100 forum, I would suggest you download it from there, and ignore this version on steam.
Dev dont support anything. And do nothing. Only new bugs.

If you read what was posted on the WZ 2100 forum, then you will realise that the devs who maintain the project DOES NOT support the version on steam.

Unfortunately, that basically appears to be what has happened. This is not associated with any of the developers, the community, the Warzone 2100 Project, or wz2100.net.

A number of concerns were raised with the individual behind this (prior to its publication) that have not been addressed. Beyond the fact that the game was / is not yet ready to be published on Steam (due to bugs that still need fixing), which is why the actual development team has not done it yet, this Windows-only Steam release was packaged incorrectly and actually has some broken functionality. (So, unfortunately, we can't even necessarily help people who encounter issues with the Steam upload.)

In short: please encourage folks to download directly from wz2100.net / GitHub / SourceForge.

So, its best to download from from the WZ 2100 site, and if you have issues, you will get support, but not if you are using the steam version.
:bbtcat: if anyone goes that route they can still add the none steam version to there libary so they can still use screenshots among other steam features.
sad if the steam version is giving people troubles :tshock:

Proper Steam release - it not just screenshots, it whole officila game Steam group. But currently we have not a proper release - lack of Mac\Linux builds.

Anyway, Resurrection - not so good version at all. And especially any 3.x versions. And like any open source free projects, it have not resolved problems in decades. Devs even release sometimes updates for Mac and\or for Linux only as to-compile-files.
Dev add 1 track from console and still miss another.Oh yeah, they create HQ videos and DEU videos - good work (no)!

Also, after this forum i check myself campaign in latest version - yep, they change every missions (add timer even for first one). PS1 version still best and only proper variant for campaign.

Any good thing that devs did - they did LOOONG ago in some pre-3.0.

No, u. I'm serious. Where I spread misinfo? 😐
There is no problems with Steam realese - it be 1:1 same version. Same as portable Win build. Only one that "publisher" here miss - Mac/Lin client. Cant say too much about XDG specs on Linux, how I understand - Lin/Mac versions always be kind of "portable" (OS features).

Devs do nothing at all. Not just "good improvements" (since pre-3.0). A lot of threads about Desura or Steam realese in last decade - devs just lazy dumps. I'm not talk about GOG - it can be difficult to realese there.

There is only one point in your words:
devs support and devs opinion.

I dont care (anymore) what someone (absolutely anyone) say on wz net forum. Same for support, cause it free and open software.

Thank you for Steam release. It's really great to see this game in store official. I played this game many times on linux and now I can to play it with video on russian. Brilliant old-school RTS. Just needed achievments. And also thank you for cloud save support.

In the other thread you said this is a fork of the original. Now here you say it is the unchanged original.
So which is it?

The release of this game to Steam does not include the GNU GPL or any EULA and contains a credit to "Underdone Gaming" as the publisher, and thus violates the GNU GPL. Just because it is free and open does not mean you can republish it as your own.

All documents and credit to other people that have worked on the project are contained in.
"(SteamInstallDir)\Warzone 2100\doc"
Please stop trying to flame drama where it is not needed.

Why are there more files in this download than in the source code?
