Is game funny? Yes.
Is game worth 15$? Hell no.

This is a funny little project you can play solo or with friend for a day or two and forget about it.
Barren world, very repetitive gameplay, and achievements that don't work correctly - all things often seen in the indie scene.

Last boss fight gave me a literal headache. Stupid fight where you only press two buttons while evading attacks, then get blinded by flashing white lights over and over and over again, and you have to do it 3 times. I even lowered brightness to 0% and it still flashed my entire room with white over and over again. It was awful.

I did have fun for a few hours. But seeing the same dungeon layout, same traps, same puzzles copy-pasted...it got old fast.

I can only recommend it if you get it for like 5$ and play it over a weekend. Not worth more time/investment.

Starts off strong, but the game very quickly wears out its welcome and runs out of ideas after a few hours. I expected the narrator to take center stage and offer scathing commentary throughout the whole game. But pretty quickly he just kinda takes a back seat as you traverse bland dungeons with creativity on par with TES Oblivion. Considering that the point of this game is that it's a meme spoof game, when you aren't laughing anymore and the gameplay is as abysmal as it is, you're kinda left with a bit of a crappy game.

Verdict: If the humour doesn't land with you, nothing else will. Sadly, there are less and less comments from the narrator as the game carries on.

- After the beginning, you are just tasked to run 3-4 dungeons for the next 'legendary loot' and then repeat
- Combat is terrible on so many different levels
- One of the worst hitboxes in any game (melee was quite painful)
- Humour gets repetitive quite fast
- About one 40s cutscene for 1 hour of gameplay after the tutorial
- Some hats are just so broken, you will switch to them constantly (ammo regeneration, quad shot ....), eliminating the need to play anything else
- No enemy variety
- A lot of enemies are invincible while doing their move (e.g. charge attack) which is just a weird design choice
- You can get stunlock
- I just have a feeling it was supposed to be much more. For example, there is Little Red -Riding Hood parody but nothing similar after that
- 100% means running dungeons around like a moron, trying to find cheese wheels
- 2 crashes in loading and 1 softlock because my spawn point was under a constantly closing gate
- I had to restart several dungeons because some enemies didn't spawn, and once a box spawning point was missing

This game is funny and somewhat enyojable for the first hour and a half. After a while though, you feel that the game is a chore. The wittiness looses it´s touch, the poor game mechanics become obvious and bothersome rather than entertaining.
After 3.5 hours in this game trying to convince myself that i like it despite the obivious fact that i do not, i have given up hope of ever enjoying it enough to finish it.

Sir Whoopass™: Immortal Death is a comedic Action-Adventure game that parodies RPGs and other Action-Adventure games in the genre. You play as Sir Whoopass, a try-hard hero, who must find The Legendary Villain-Beating Artifact™, and vanquish an EVIL wizard known as The Immortal. Who, for some reason, is sending all sorts of monsters and evil creatures to wreak havoc on the world.

Pros
+ It can be pretty funny at times.
+ A decent variety of enemies for you to slaughter.
+ The music, while not amazing, is pretty decent (They overuse certain tracks, however).
+ HATS!!!! LOTS OF HATS!!!! COLLECT THEM ALL!!!!! (each hat has a unique bonus when wearing it, so the game encourages you to collect them all.)
+ Become the ULTIMATE HERO™ by slaughtering members of the IRS!
+ Commit Gnome genocide! 😍
+ The Dark and Spooky Forrest dungeon, and the side quest associated with it, is easily one of the best dungeons in the game (unfortunately, it's the only non-main quest dungeon of this quality. The rest are forgettable).
+ Tons of video game and pop culture references and memes.
+ One of the minigames is a reskinned version of Flappy Bird.

Cons
- The combat is clunky and feels floaty.
- I encountered quite a few bugs. Thankfully none of them are game-breaking and are left in for comedic reasons (minus one time a summoner teleported into a wall, which would have made 100% the dungeon impossible without restarting).
- The quality of the graphics is pretty dodgy and inconsistent (although this is done as a joke).
- While some of the dungeons are enjoyable, they mostly use the same assets, so they are very forgettable and samey.
- Outside of the main quest, there is only a couple of sidequests in the entire game (which is a shame, as more funny side quests would have been great).
- The framerate in the final dungeon is pretty choppy.
- While the jokes at the start of the game are funny as ♥♥♥♥, they, unfortunately, begin to go up and down in quality as the game goes on, resulting in the comedy being very inconsistent quality-wise.
- One of the jokes that comes up a couple of times during dialogue where the NPC you are talking to will keep getting mad at you unless you choose the exact dialogue choice the game wants. While amusing the first time, it gets very repetitive very quickly.
- Ending Spoilers: When you defeat the final boss, the Immortal decides to fly his fortress into space before you can reach him. The game then abruptly ends on an underwhelming cliffhanger. However, while the ending did say "To be continued", I suspect this is just the devs poking fun at other games that do the same thing.
- It's overpriced (it costs $23.95 AUD when it should be at least half that price at most).
- You can't kill any of the filthy peasants in the village. 😭

Now the question is, would I recommend Sir Whoopass? Eh, Kinda? It can be fun at times, but it's very janky and unpolished, which I could overlook "if" the humour and writing were consistently good... The problem is that it's not, so as a result, it's hard to recommend Sir Whoopass (especially for its price).
So unless you "REALLY" like these sorts of games, and you happen to see it on a deep discount, I'd probably pass on this one.

I hate that I can't recommend this game, because I feel like there's just a treasure trove of potential in it. But how it currently is- it's just not really worth the time.
The humor in this game is on point, it has a very meme-y, lighthearted vibe to it, with 4th-wall breaking narration. But the humor has nowhere to shine.
The Tutorial level is great, and then its downhill from there. After the tutorial level, you're basically just sent on a quest to beat some ludicrous amount of dungeons in a row. Theres a singular side-quest in the game involving little red riding hood, which I thought was a pretty good addition. It had good humor, a straightforward objective, and gave you a new weapon that at that point in the game was pretty decent. And then that was the one and only side-quest. After that, it was back to just doing nothing but dungeons. The only times the humor came out was with any item descriptions on the various hats you would collect through chests.
The game itself plays fine, its kind of like a mix of the mapping of skyrim, combat of dark souls, and feels like Shrek on the original Xbox. The combat can be clunky and easy to cheese, and by the end of the game you're wildly overpowered, but it has a charm to it and never really got boring for me, and the overworld was surprisingly not a boring thing to explore. There wasn't really much *to* explore, aside from a few random camps or small ruins that had no real purpose other than to house a few mobs, but despite that, finding the odd piano landing zone, or shark-infested pond, stuff like that was welcome. It just gave the overworld a charm to it that made it fun and explorable, even if there wasn't much to find.

I really hate that I can't recommend this game, because it has such good humor and heart in it, but it almost feels like the devs just weren't confident in their humor, or didn't know what to do with it. I feel like if more side-quests, and more interactable NPC's were added, it would be immensely better. The little red riding hood quest felt like a sign of what the game could've been. But I feel like the game needs more interactable NPC's, and more sidequests in it, rather than focusing on a bunch of dungeons that feel like theyre just there to artificially elongate the game.

Fun and funny at first and then they ran out of ideas and/or funding. There are like 10 slide puzzles and 10 Simon says puzzles. Around 14 repetitive dungeons you HAVE to complete, then the ending is grade A trash. Combat is just ok, world is beautiful at times, but very simple. If it is on sale for cheap and you want to waste a little time, then great, but this DOES feel early access and has major flaws.

The first 3-4 hours are fun, funny, and creative. Definitely worth the time. But after that......

The game is literally made to be a satire of lame RPG cliches, and shines with that early on. However in an insane turn of events it somehow manages to unironically become the epitome of what it's satirizing after the first few hours. Repetitive dungeons (main story, all required) that all look the same, the same 5 enemies, the same few puzzles, spread all over a generic overworld, etc. The game unfortunately just devolved into "go to this dungeon (same as the others) get the thing at the end then on to the next one to get the next thing". Over and over and over. Like 10+ times in a row. They even have the balls to put the last handful of dungeons you need to beat all in opposite corners of the map. Not to mention that the narrator and story that carried the early game basically just stops right around the time the game begins to become what it's making fun of.

Its not a terrible game or anything but like, idk man. It should've been shorter. They had a great concept but didn't really know how to turn that into a game that lasted more than a few hours, so they added a bunch of unnecessary bloat to pad the playtime and it suffered because of it. Get it on a steep sale like I did,
