Is the Campaign totally abandoned?
It feels like the only development on Infinite now is just for the multiplayer. The Campaign still has the same bugs and issues I reported last year, with absolutely no sign of support from the dev team.

Getting sick and tired of Marines shooting heavy weapons inside my Warthog only for them to blow us all up...

So, it's stuck in a state of never getting updates now basically. 343i doesn't want to cause it's to complicated, and a fear of breaking more stuff in the campaign.

At this rate you basically have to wait for the next Halo game to come out which we know is in development as 343i confirmed they have multiple Halo projects in development.

So yea, this is it for Halo Infinite.
You know that’s not true, Lev. Microsoft laid off the entire campaign team. The multiplayer people don’t have the time or skill set to work on the campaign, and frankly aren’t getting paid for it either.

Did you pay full price for the campaign or get it on sale?

Paid full price. Why?
Hmmmm. Maybe get a kick starter going to have them get given more money to fix the paid campaign?

honestly, i feel satisfied with the campaign, i havent found so much bugs, just im worried about the tim ewill take to announce the new chapter
What are they going to call the next one now that they already use Infinite in its title? The next one they'll promise another 10 years of Development and call it Halo Eternal or something hahaha. You know Microsoft became the second company in history to hit 3 TRILLION dollars worth of value, the first was Apple a few months prior. apple spends nothing making games but takes a cut like steam does of all its digital sales on the Apple store. Microsoft really need to reinvest some of their money into their games again because they can definitely float it as they are fight Sony not Apple in the "console wars". Microsoft Games Studios used to make a lot of cool games and support a lot of interesting projects. I hate current game company culture of lying about supporting the game for years and people buying their micro transaction laden games isnt enough to continue supporting it. They'll only keep supporting it if it makes increasingly more profit every year into infinity. Look at how Rock Star treated the Red Dead Online community. It didnt make ALL of the whale money in the world like GTA Online does, with their online casino and shark cards, so they killed Red Dead Online. 343I is not Microsoft Games Studio but they answer directly to Microsoft, so at the end of the day big daddy M gets to decide what direction they take.

They laid off about 1900 staff across various companies under their umbrella I believe I read. This most likely helped boost their value up to hit that 3 Trillion dollar mark. Mind you remember they spent all those hundreds of millions on acquiring Activision Blizzard then payed out Bobby millions upon millions more to step down as CEO finally and then turned around firing their boots on the ground staff. They do this stuff all the time. Announce record profits and then cull their hard workers and give out massive bonuses to the management team. Happens in all companies, doesnt matter if they make games or chocolate biscuits, boss makes a dollar I make a dime kinda thing.

They only care about money so the best thing to do is vote with your wallet and make it clear that their most profitable path is to release completely made and well produced products in the first place. No more releasing a bare bones product with promises to flesh it out over years.

Personally I think they ought to put this game on PS5 and Switch as part of the multiplatform stuff they are starting to wade into ... taht is a HUGE base of customers to tap and could revitalize not only the mutiplayer but maybe provide new revenue to do more with campaign.

The game has been out a couple years now ... anyone who was going to buy an xbox for Halo has already done so ... why not expand the pool of paying customers?
Aspen Feb 17, 2024 @ 8:57am
Honestly I’d be surprised if they put Halo, Forza, or Gears of War on playstation/switch, but any other Xbox first party game I could see.

Yep ... the thing is those are the franchises that would land big. I'd still do initial releases on xbox/pc for a couple of years, but at this point I don't see why they couldn't start. Halo MCC would be a good one as well. Imagine the money flowing in

I dont think so, 343 fixed a lot of bugs and improved the MCC after many years. Maybe they just need some time and resources.

While I agree with your point, it is kinda odd that moderators can indicate the answer for a discussion that they didnt started...

We never did get cross-platform Campaigns for the Halos besides 3 and ODST though. And cross-platform for those is still buggy. Last weekend I tried playing with two friends - two of us on PC and the third on Xbox - and we couldn't get it to work even after scouring the forums for answers.

I can't even play the Campaign, save files delete themselves everything I exit and re-enter the campaign menu and you can't restore them, there isn't a campaign team to fix this issue which makes this WORSE.

Just stick to MCC or custom games if you want a good Campaign.
