"You have lost the connection to the session"

Is anyone else getting a "You have lost the connection to the session" error after being in a multiplayer match for only about a minute or so? It just started for me today.

The issue is still ongoing. It’s not related to the Punkbuster update because I manually updated it. Also, during the Punkbuster update, it was giving a kicked error and throwing me out. There is a problem, and since the game is old, I don't think EA cares much about it. The servers seem full, but when you enter the game, you can see there are only 3-4 people. After a maximum of 2 minutes in the game, the message 'you have lost connection to the session' pops up and kicks me out. I hope it gets fixed somehow.

Other than the crashes or whatever is happening this game is amazing. PLEASE FIX ASAP

EA has updated its list of games that it's shutting down in 2025, confirming 13 titles that are on the chopping block this year. In the age of live-service games and a heavy focus on online multiplayer features, it's sad, but really no surprise, that titles are shut down every now and again. EA shuts down the servers of its games on a regular basis, with multiple noteworthy games shut down last year.
