Game won't launch.

i think it has something to do with the fact that when I formatted my pc I moved all my games to a hard drive that wasn't getting wiped including BF4. The first time setup steam does when launching any game went off without a hitch, punkbuster installed and passed all the tests as well.

But every time I click the play button, it turns blue, A small EA window pops up, then the EA launcher opens briefly, both windows close, and then we're back to the green button again.

Installing all the microsoft visual c++ is what fixed it for my daughter last night. We found a site that had a way to install all in one go and that's what finally gave us success, after many many other attempts to fix (including NOT installing ALL the necessary c++)

I don't know why I see many posts like this on Battlefield 4's forum, if you game on your PC go ahead and install all versions of Visual C++ and Direct3D9 because one game or other will require them.

guys if microsoft visual 2013 DOESNT SOLVE, I SOLVED MINE BY RUNNING ADMINITRATOR MODE TO ---> ALLLLL USERS,<----, THIS OPTION IS BELOW AT THE COMPATIBILITY PORPERTIES. THEN RUN bf4_x86 from the folder

i cant run the game, i have installed all Visuals Direct3d9 set the game to open as administrator in all users and nothing. Game just wont show up

do not run the game as Administrator, the game needs MS visual C++ 2012 64bit and 32bit, kill msi afterburner before you run the game

Definitely gotta kill msi afterburner or at least run it in its stealth mode. I think it messes with punkbuster or something because of the way it injects into executables.

I installed the 2008, 2010, 2012 and the 2013 version and it still doesn't work for me. I launch it on steam, EA app starts. It says it prepares the game, then closes and the EA app opens and the game won't start.

After reinstalling MS visual C++ 2013 multiple times, still doesn't work

if you run MSI afterburner then disable it before launching the game
