Keep getting kicked by punkbuseter

HELP I KEEP GETTING KICKED BY PUNKBUSTER AS SOON AS I LOAD INTO A SERVER. I have tried restarting and it does not work. I also restarted punkbuster

I just posted a thread about this. I think if you dig a little deeper you will find that your problem is the PnkBstrB Windows service gets deleted. If you open Services, you will find there is one for PnkBstrA but not PnkBstrB. If you manually create one for B, the game will work but the service will eventually disappear again. Updating Punkbuster from the website doesn't help.

The b service only runs when the game's running. It should be visible in services when the game's open, if it is, make sure it and a's service is set to automatic. If it's not there, download pb's service installer from the site.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe it should be visible - i.e. in the Services list - at all times, but Stopped when the game is not running. I believe I am right about this because manually adding a service for PnkBstrB fixes the problem until it later gets removed, at which time, if you play the game through Battlelog, you will get the very specific error that communication failed with PnkBstrB. But I will try running the game right now and see if that service appears and report back.

I was able to play a match with this Reddit fix. I will report back here if I lose my ability to play in the future. I am also going to copy that Reddit comment in here for everyone's future reference, in case the source ever gets deleted:

It's frustrating as all hell. I found a post on the Battlelog forums that actually worked though. Thanks to BF_JJB, Check it out:

"I was also annoyed this error and solved in this way. Here is my solution.

first of all, delete all PB files and windows firewall rules
delete folder & all files in ur accounts folder : C:\Users\Your Account\AppData\Local\PunkBuster\BF4
delete files in c:\windows\system32 : PnkBstr.
delete files in c:\windows\syswow64 : PnkBstr. , pbsvc.exe
delette all PnkBstrA, B rules in windows firewall

download pbsetup(http://www.evenbalance.com/?page=pbsetup.php) [evenbalance.com] and run it

add BF4 and update PB.

run pbsvc.exe in BF4__installer\punkbuster\redist

install PB and test it.

add new rules to windows firewall (Do Not delete exist PnkBstrA,B rules)

PnkBstrA (path : c:\windows\system32\pnkbstrA.exe)

PnkBstrB (path : c:\windows\system32\pnkbstrB.exe)

Update, today I played the game (by the way, I have it on Origin, not Steam), and the first time I logged into a server, I got kicked by Punkbuster. Before I joined a server, PnkBstrB service was not in the list. But after I got kicked, I checked again, and now it was in the services list. So I tried again and was able to play.

This always works for me: Go to game installation folder -> run pbsvc.exe -> test Punkbuster services -> restart pc -> should work now

But this is for Origin version, idk if it works for Steam version.
