You have lost connection to EA...now won't reconnect

Restart steam, many times retrying, and then click "go online" "connecting" and nothing. It has happened before but now tried about ten times. The fixes I have found don't seem to apply, not an old account or a conflict and no issues with internet. The game client does launch just doesn't connect to game server I guess. Ideas?

same exact thing here man, i cant get anything to work. im gonna try restarting my pc

I finally got in after about 40 minutes, restarted pc. I don't think it was on my end though.

hmmm, i tried restating, going into game files, changing firewall access and even launching from different methods, it could just been the servers are overflowing. thanks for writing back tho

i uninstalled and reinstalled, nothing is working. this sucks

I played a few matches this morning, got disconnected, and now my game launches but it wont connect to EA.

I had the same. Got disconnected from match and then steam took forever to launch bf4. I've been playing too much obviously. But this was worse than last time, once I got to load screen it immediately said "disconnected from EA" not even the "connecting message." Anyway, took a break and came back and it was ok by noon ET.
