Origin is asking me for an activation key that I do not have

So, the other day I bought Battlefield 4 on Steam, downloaded it and installed it. It all seemed successful until the Origin bit came along.. Every time I try to open the game via Steam, it sends me to the Origin browser (I already made an account) and asks me to enter an activation key. I did not get any key in my receipt that I recieved, and I can not seem to find a way to overwrite it. The message itself is "To play Unidentified Game, you must first activate it on your EA account." I would appreciate any help.
