ive been having this same problem. the only thing that helped was reinstalling and that was only a temporary fix

open origin before you launch the game

Opening Origin before starting on steam does not work. BF4 will not launch at all. Has anyone fixed this?

Had the same issue. No one at EA could help and they passed me to Steam, same thing there too. I have asked for my money back and i got it ... its their issue with the EA link account ... had the same problem when i bought Crysis of Steam, couldnt play but it worked on Origin ...

Download Punkbuster latest version and extract it on your installation folder then add bf4 to it.

i opened origin before playing EA support told me this but now it completely defeats the purpose of buying it on steam

Oh well, in my case the entire Origin window just doesn't pop up no matter what I do, making it impossible to launch the game.

When I launch the game the first time it comes up with some punk buster stuff then I sign into origin and nothing happens and then it does nothing every time I click on it

Same problem here, been trying to make it run for an hour already, reinstalled Origin and Steam, nothing. Just EASteamProxy.exe running in the background for a while and then nothing.

I had those problems, too. No way to start the game from Steam. Launched it from Origin without any trouble

Has anyone found a fix for this yet? Its happening to me even thought It used to work fine, I already reinstalled the game and opening origin first but still no luck.
