Kicked by Punkbuster

[Dugs]

Just downloaded game and all DLC.

Tried 3 servers now and every time it kicks me after 3 minutes or so with error same message.

Checked that Punkbuster is updated via install folder, which it is and it shows no problems during test or reinstall of the software.

Any ideas? Sucks!

have the same issue..
no idea why that happens, ive played hundredd of hours of bf4 before and had never a problem like this

install folder doesnt have the proper update tool
you have to go to punkbuster's website and download the pbsetup program
there you should be able to properly update it (its recomended that you remove and re-add bf4 inside it to make sure it updates)

Thanks for your reply but after following your instructions the exact same problem persists.

After a few moments it black screens with a loading symbol in top right corner then i get kicked to the main menu with 'kicked by punkbuster' error message. No further details.

I have updated via game folder, uninstalled and installed PB through website, verify files on steam, checked firewall exception and checked PB services are running in task manager and also restarted everything.

Stumped?!

I recommend you try launching from battlelog on your browser. Theres a chance it will work there, and even if it doesnt battlelog provides more specific error messages

ive downloaded the punkbuster installer from the website, installed it, there was no bf4 entry in it, added bf4.
and now its working fine for me

I did the same and selected BF4 from dropdown box. Still didn't work.

Game is installed to SSD for me is yours?

what happens if you try to run PnkBstrA? Have you checked if its allowed on your firewall?

Yeah i have checked and enabled it through private and public.

PnkBstrA shows as running in services.msc

i have it on an SSD yea. but seperate drive, not on C: directly

It is resolved now thank you , i'm 10+ minutes into a server without being kicked.

I had to install PB manually through the website but i also had to install it again via the game folder, where as before i had only one or the other.

Installed Punkbuster through the website and that seemed to fix it for me
