Unpopular opinion: BF5 was actually really good.

It didn't have the best reception, but looking back the game did release in a fairly smooth state, but better than BF4's release version.

Not to mention it was the first Battlefield to do a lot of new cool stuff that most people really liked.

Had a ton of maps, and weapons available to everyone at no extra cost.

Some of the maps were among the best for Battlefield.

It really was a good game.

If not for the contraversies, BF5 would've been rated insanely high by everyone. Like you said, maps, weapons and customisations was and is still incredible. I bought it on release on origin back in the day, and had countless hours of fun, until the cheaters came and took over

Gameplay? Yes. Direction? Nah. I wish they went with the big battles rather than this weird approach... could have been gritty like BF1 but nope.

I liked it a lot better than BF1, but not even close to SWBF 2015... The last DICE masterpiece with the last truly great DICE maps.
