Why hasn't BFV been updated with console crossplay on PC? It gets just as much players as 2042.

the game wasn't designed from the outset in 2018 with crossplay, and when you just throw something like that into a game, it can cause all kinds of chaos with the game and how it matchmakes.

2042 was designed from the get-go to have crossplay, it was developed with it in mind.

the real and quite obvious solution to crossplay is for KB+M implementation on consoles and a hard split of universal KB+M/controller lobbies. the way Fortnite has already been doing it for time now (and just about the only thing I'll give Epic any credit for)

could even kill two birds with one stone; dealing with the issue of XIM/equivalent users on console (if integrated alongside console-wide detection akin to Ubisoft's Mousetrap)
