How bad is the cheater problem?

I really want to pick this up on Steam, as I haven't played it in years on my EA app which I dont have access to anymore. The amount of people talking about walking into cheaters almost every match is worrying to me. This is one of my favorite Battlefield games, is it worth grabbing?

Most of the cheating is passive cheaters. Players not being obvious about it such as just running an ESP/wallhack. They supplement their game play at your expense. Rage cheaters aren't as common as they use to be, though I did run into a server redeployer last week. I hadn't seen one of them in a few months until then. Pretty much all the FPS PC games have cheating problems now days. BF5 isn't all that different.

Its still pretty bad. Games turn into my cheaters are better then your cheaters.

yes, on weekend is totally unplaybale thanks to the invasion of the "eastern peoples", the rest of the week a little better... but when you see someone killing you from 200 meters with a single shot of t2a or a member of a team that host the server cheating as if there is no tomorrow (there are many videos here...) you want to uninstall the game... thanks God are coming new and better (hopefully) games

I had the last 10 rounds full of these ♥♥♥♥ cheaters -... there is no shooter playable anymore... 40/1 or 63/3. 5-6 players each round. You hide and they shoot from a few hundred meters with one shot exactly where you can't actually be seen. apart from the aimbot. Nothing is done about it, so shotters no longer need MP

Lets say, there are people that are so good that the hit every shot while bursting their smg from 200m away, killing snipers in seconds.
Im not saying it is impossible as the game mechanics are call of duty level but it is frustrating when you also see your teammates behave like bots and go for a jog around the map in the opposite direction of combat.

In short it is managable if you dont care about kd that much as the cheaters are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and dont hold points and just run to the largest crowd of players.

In the past couple of days there was at least 2 cheaters in every match.
Community servers never have any admins on it seems as most of the cheaters are present on every eu community server.
Last match someone was shooting his sniper rifle like an lmg without reloading and all that on a community server.
This game is not worth revisiting.

Its much better. Of course you will see loads of people say there are cheaters because they suck and cant accept that people are better than them. Like there is one guy thats always playing on US servers and without fail will be calling people cheaters every single game. Shoot him through smoke? Cheater. Snipe him while hes moving? Cheater. Its these types of sociopaths that perpetuate the rumour that the game is still plagued by cheaters. It isnt.

You can test this by simply hiding in a bush with good camo on and not moving. I can hide for entire matches in a bush and not get found.

Obvious cheaters, like people taking over a server, making everyone in the server redeploy etc are very rare now (ive not seen any).

I know reading is not a given anymore in this day and age, but you have to at least glance over some of the comments before vomiting some trash take.
If you dont see any cheaters camping in a bush on some shortbus us servers then they are not anywhere else huh?!

Right back at you, read yourself. I said 'Its a lot better', 'The game isnt plagued by them anymore' and 'obvious cheaters are gone'. I didnt say there were not ANY. Read yourself. And I play on 2 different regions.

Trash take. 2.4 KD/R average on most shooters, and cheaters are, in fact, an issue. Granted, they're mostly present during Asia peak hours. It's a cultural thing...

I know irrefutable, harsh facts may be a difficult pill to swallow - so get off that high horse.

like everyone says the community servers are the best option, a lot of them have a bot now that picks up on cheating and auto kicks/bans from that server. the worst problem you'll deal with is sweats

You can come to the community server of the Asian server, which has relatively few cheats
