Player count soaring all of a sudden

Did something happen? It's double BF2042's player count today.
I want to give the game a try again, but eh... cheaters

I believe its because all the battlefields games are on sale.. all of them being under $10. I have over 100 hours on bf2042 and i can say i have not run into any cheaters. I think its worth the pickup for this price. Same with all the others.

I played BF5 on the PC and PS4, but in my experience I encountered cheaters in 4/5 games on the PC. But like you I encountered almost none in BF2042 in my 300h

It's $4 on Steam. Considering picking it up, but not sure I want to spend time learning a new game. Plus all the comments about cheaters.
