If you MUST go with a HDD, Make sure it is a fast one with 7200RPM, e.g Seagate Barracuda or similar.

SSD's are fairly cheap these days, On a local PC supply company's website in the UK they sell 2TB M.2 SSD's for like £130.

To be honest I think you'd fare better with an SSD for quicker load times and less chance of texture streaming bottlenecking

That's for a 2TB, mind..

I'd wager that even a 512GB would be a LOT cheaper than that, All I can suggest is to shop around and look for bargains, But don't buy Used drives, You've no idea how close to the end of its life it will be.

I would say SSD is a standard these days. I replaced two my HDDs with SSDs a long time ago, no regrets.

Nvme...

Even on an nvme this game takes it's time loading so it's absolutely recommended you install it on the fastest thing you got or have fun looking at loading screens for minutes.

The only thing it will affect is loading times, and unless you have a VERY bad drive it wont be drastic. Performance will be identical
