Is it true, you can no longer spend Ration Seals?

I can't seem to find the option to buy Resource Packs with my Ration Seals. That is how I forge my ultimate weapon early-game, savescumming the resource packs for all the Mk-V parts I want. But there no longer seems to be an option to buy Resource Packs anymore, which would mean my Ration Seals are pointless.

Is this true? If that's the case, does that mean Mk-V parts are no longer available? I'd have to settle for Mk-2?

for me all ive seen is mark 2 and ive never seen ration seals sadly since ive been playing for a week or so

There is no such pack in the Steam version, I was also surprised when I didn't find it. Then I asked a friend to log into the game (It was bought from him in Origin) and he had everything in place. There may be a bug, but I can't download the version of the game from Origin, and I can't buy it since it already exists but on Steam. As a result, those who purchased the Steam version of the game in flight with this pack.

I have both the Steam and the Origin version. I dunno why the Steam version made me download Origin to begin with though.

I have it on Origin, and as far as I know, they doesn't work there either.

I don't know why, but it s*cks. And I don't see the reason, cause you can buy all the stuff just like before, but you can't spend the ration seals.

It works but it's a process that involves installing the Beta side of Origin. The controls get wonky so I just use that sign in for spending the seals and the normal log in for playing. Go to the EA forums (answer.ea.com).

I'm just not going to bother with it. I'll use MK-2 parts once I unlock them from Pure Survival mode. They're weaker, but I'll feel honest and good about using them since I had to earn them.

True. And the game really improves after such feature stopped working. Specially real survival mode.

I was wrong...

When I launch the game via Origin, it allows me to spend them. But I'm pretty sure that they were disabled there not so long ago.

It still works. I have all of the MK-V parts. You have to remember to close Origin completely.

It's fine, I finished Pure Survival and now I have all Mk-2 parts. Thats good enough.

My file is ready for Coop now, Mk-2 Chain Gun w/ Force Gun using all +3 Dmg/Clip circuits, Damage Support and Ammo Support, and a Mk-2 Wide Plasma Cutter w/ Ripper using all +3 Dmg/Clip circuits, Medic Support and Stasis Support.

What makes me laugh is the fact they could've kept it in the game but were too scared to keep it in because they thought it would've overpowered their paid content. only way of claiming MK V parts now are through console since EA can't touch the packs there since it's through Microsoft purchases only

I used the hell out of ration seals when i played before because (iirc) they allowed you to get resources to get cooler gear earlier in the game. With that badass crafting system I didn't see that as cheating at all, more just giving more options a bit earlier. It would suck if you couldn't use that system in the steam version. I guess in NG+ you'd still have all the goodies, but it sure feels nice to get a flamethrower attached to a sick bullpup rifle and acid coated rounds a bit earlier in the game. Especially on the harder difficulties it can be a tough game.
