What a bunch of weirdo game devs.
unfortunately or fortunately for reality, gay or female warlords are not part of Krogan culture at this time because they still suffer the impact of the genophage for starters. Krogan also have roles for males etc that are male exclusive. That is the Mass Effect universe.
If you want to have gay or female lizard warlords that is fine, it is just not Mass Effect. This disconnect with the Mass Effect universe is one reason this game did so poorly. You can't just stick anything you want into story that already has three episodes establishing what is what.
If you want to introduce new things and changes that are a clear departure, you are going to have to develop a part of the story that supports your content to explain why or what happened. The writing for Andromeda is horribly poor and trite.
You just have to pay attention to the dialogue man in all three games.
You don't know anything about episodic story telling. You can't have in the next installment of Lord of the Rings have Frodo drive up in a Tesla on his way to his next venture and say "it's just a movie man get a grip".
In television and movies you have someone that is a "continuity manager" to keep an eye on these types of things.
Of course you can do anything you want as a writer/creator, but your audience might burn you at the stake which is exactly what happened with Andromeda. It would be one thing if there were not 3 previous episodes that laid out the universe the story happens in.
It would have been much better if they did not label it as a Mass Effect game because that puts constraints on things and they obviously wanted to ignore those things and they paid the price for it. That's just the way it is.
I just put them in friendzone :)))) why?
1. Cose i am not in to that ( personatly i find it disguisting )
2. Secondly i am a black sheep among Rainbow sheeps :)))
Having said that, the writers of the game seem to have the most surface level understanding of the lore possible, so I am sure they thought they were being subversive.
