Missing DLL

I just bought the game from Steam and whenever I try to open it, I get a message from EA saying "We're sorry, an error has occurred. Invalid license. Reason Code = Missing DLL Error 0x7e" I don't know a lot about computers, so I looked through some similar posts and couldn't tell if anyone was having the exact same issue. If there is a link to a guide that would help, or any advice on how to get it running, I'd be greatly appreciative. Thank you and I hope you have a wonderful day!

But I looked for a current driver because the one linked is from 2016.

Might be a good idea to check some commonly used DLLs on your system and update them:

DirectX https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=35
DotNet https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet-framework
VisualC++ https://learn.microsoft.com/en-US/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist

Check which edition of Windows you have *Right click on Start then go to System. If you have windows 10 N then right click on Start click on Settings->System->Optional features then click on the " + " Add a feature, in the search window write media and hit enter, you should now have two files to download: Media Feature Pack and Windows Media Player Legacy (app). Install both and restart the system, the game should now start.
