Military or scientific outpost on Eos ?

At first thought of science but then chose military due to the kett decimating the previous two scientific outposts. Even though the scientists could probably put up a fight against a small attack, a military outpost would be better placed to withstand a potential large scale kett assault. The Andromeda Initiative brought along a large number of military personnel, and they should be put to good use rather than having the civilians do the fighting.

I personally went with scientific.
Helps persuade native species that you are not an invading force.

While the choice only has almost non existent consequence to the end game, scientific outpost makes more sense.

Same. Plus I was a little more focused on research anyway.

No doubt military, in the circumstance. Going with science means you are nothing more than a bank to be pillaged by the Kett.

Science. A science outpost will have turrets scattered around the perimeter. The military version does not according to fandom. The actual outcome is minimal and the differences are in dialog, terminal entries, and the Battle for Meridian (What I have no clue).

Basically the choice is about you and what version of Andromeda you are looking to create. Though I play soldier in the game it is the science which will define whether the Andromeda Initiative is successful in my opinion. With a strong underpinning of commerce. Last on the list is the military.
