Origin Error Code 106128
I was going to finish my play-through of Andromeda this afternoon when I received this error code 106128 from Origin.

I spot checked a game I own on Origin and it came up normally. No problems bringing up the Origin client.

I checked 2 of the Origin games I own on Steam and I get this error code: 106128.

There is a problem between Steam and Origin.

I played ME:A a few hours ago just fine. Then Steam updated itself and now I'm having the same error. Something is wrong with the latest Steam update.

I was playing Andromeda till late last night. It is probably a Steam issue but I created a case on Origin. They will get Steam motivated.

I am on the BETA launcher.

I did the same. I hope they'll fix this soon. I really wanted to make some progress over the weekend.

I'm not on Beta, btw, so it's definitely a Steam thing.

I'm just finishing up Voeld.

I tried raising the issue to Steam, but the support page says they can't do anything with games from external companies. What a load of BS as I bought it on Steam. I never wanted it on Origin in the first place.

Opt out of BETA and regular Steam client will install and you should be able to launch the game. I checked one game and it did start. Off to Meridian.

Interesting. I've never opted-in to the Beta client...

On a more positive note, I've just cleared my Steam download cache, and the game is working again. Off to Voeld.

I opted into BETA to solve an issue with a game sometime ago and never had an excuse to opt out till now.
