Solved // ME Andromeda won't launch // No errors

So, I run the game from Steam, an EA app window pops up, closes, then the full EA app window comes up and just sits there. Then I try to launch MEA from the EA App window, and it throws it back to Steam and still won't launch.

Clear EA App cache - checked
Run as admin - checked
Run from other (new) Windows user - checked
Clean Windows starup without any third party services - checked
Contact EA support - checked

Nothing helps.

Just bought the game May 18 to refresh memories, but via Steam. Previous copy is on the same EA App account, maybe the issue because of 2 copies of the game in 1 EA acc? I don't thik so...

Any ideas to solve this?

UPD: Resetting windows with saving data solved this issue.

Yes it's linked. Other EA games works fine, NFS Heat, Apex Legends for exaple.
Apex has another copy on the same EA acc, played it before migration to Steam, like MEA.

Found legacy Origin version, which still works, just downloaded EA copy of MEA to check will it works. Same thing - pressing "Play" and nothing happens.

Same happened to me yesterday. I ended EA Application in which already running in task manager and then I clicked play button from steam and game worked.

When they switched to the EA app some of the program file paths did not get removed from the windows registry. it's possible the steam version is trying to use the other version's old file paths if they weren't cleaned out. Maybe a registry cleaner like ccleaner would help.

I've already deleted the game, all EA trash, all folders and all mentions about EA/BioWare/ME from Windows registry. Did "sfc" "DISM". Installed MEA again, still does not work. But ME3 works fine. LMAO. Added video above.

If you bought the Steam version of the game for EA (you need a clean version of the game to run, namely
download via Steam, then <Installing the game> and ready) launching the game from Steam, then EA passes the check twice (the rectangle from authorization from EA Desktop flashes twice) to link the account with Steam if there is a link, then Authorization in EA and the game immediately starts everything.

Other EA games which bought in Steam works fine. I don't have a linking account issues, the copy I bought through Origin earlier not works too.

I will add my two cents in saying check Exploit Protection in Windows and uncheck any system enabled options on the game executable. Check reliability history of the failed launches to see the error code and look it up. If it's memory related good chance Windows is blocking it. This is btw different from the firewall blocking it.

I've already checked for the exploits, and in the video I attached it shows the system options on the game executable is not enabled. I do not dispute that the Windows can block it, so If u really knows how to fix this without reinstalling OS - please welсome, I'll be very grateful.

Have the same problem now, but i notice that i dont even have the play button on EA app. I have same issues with DA:Origins, but back then - i reunstall origin client. Right now - its not an option, bcs origins just won lanch, sayng "install EA client".

У меня получилось сделать так -удалить игру, прописать в реестре верный путь установки игры, скачать и установить, перезагрузить комп, и, о боже - оно заработало. Причем заработало именно после перезагрузки. Тут видимо проблема как раз в клешнях от прошлой Ориджн версии и игр. Такая же проблема была и с драгонагой.

Мы можем задискордиться? Кинул инвайт в стим. Я с реестра как раз чистил руками все хвосты которые вообще как либо связаны с ЕА и БиоТварями после первого захода на переустановку...
Я даж нашел работающую версию Ориджина, которая не мигает о переходе на ЕА арр, скачал от туда копию игры которая была куплена в Ориджине, в которую я раньше играл на этой же операционке - все равно ноль эффетка...

Check that the path of the game directory is correct.
After an update the app changed my default directory to C drive ...when my games are on another drive...so it doesn't start because it's simply not reading any exe.
I had to fix the problem from regedit: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\BioWare\Mass Effect Andromeda
