ME:Andromeda - Black Screen

The game refuses to launch for me, and I have tried everything. The past 2 days I have been all over the internet to search for a resolution, but get nothing. Alt+Enter will not work. Bypassing firewall does not work. My drivers are up to date. I am going stir crazy.

Anyone else face this issue and managed to find a work around?

The new EA app can take several minutes to load and connect. As it does it will appear/disappear, go to black, minimize itself, etc. If the Origin server is busy or loses the connection it can take even longer. How long did you wait on the black screen?

Most likely you have a somewhat common issue with the EA client. And, that is... if you previously had the Origin client and game installed but updated to the EA client, there is likely some path issues in the Windows Registry. The solution is to either dig through your registry and check all the path settings (correcting the erroneous ones) or uninstall the EA client and game followed by running a Registry Cleaner. I use Ccleaner but, you'll want to disable a bunch of things with it to be rid of the crapware that comes in it by default. And don't EVER use it's 'Driver updater' tool.

So, step by step;
Uninstall EA games
Uninstall EA client
Run a registry cleaning, restart the PC, and double check registry is clean without errors.
Download latest EA client installer and install it.
Download / install your EA games.

All directory and registry paths should be golden at that point and your games should start up properly. There maybe some exceptions where you need to set compatibility on a games exe to 'Run as administrator' if you're using a 'standard' account and not 'admin' account. Sometimes, even if you are on an admin account. But, those should be more of a rarity.
