Can't launch the game

I tried launching the game, steam shows up I'm playing it, after a few seconds it shows im just online, then says I'm playing again, then Origin appears and nothing happens. I tried launching it from Origin, but it just restarts Origin when i click play and nothing happens again. Now i would rant so bad about this (like how Steam EA Games shouldn't require Origin to play) but i really hope this will be fixed. Anyone else has this problem and can help me fix it?

I do not have anything relevant to add besides the fact that I also dislike that I have the game on Steam but it launches that dreadful Origin. No issues so far for me though.

Same problem here, was working fine yesterday. Would guess it's an Origin authentication issue or something.

It still doesn't work for me, i tried all the fixes it just wont work. I contacted EA Support only to wait 20 minutes in queue and then super slow replies from the agents (one reply each 20 minutes). As i described my issue as detailed as possible and told them the fixes i applied, the first support agent told me to perfom a clean boot (disable all services at startup except Microsoft ones) and all it did was to slow my PC down. I tried to contact them again and a new agent connected with me, (again long queue and replies) described my issue etc. The 2nd agent gave me a fix for Mass Effect 2 but i needed help with Mass Effect Andromeda as i described in my support case. I told the 2nd agend it didnt fix anything and told them about a new error now that i get (activation required/game missing from PC) since they told me to rename the Mass Effect executable into MassEffectAndromedaLauncher.exe (it didnt fix anything, caused more trouble)...... They closed chat on me. So i gave up and did anything a unsatisfied customer can do : an angry review. I really wanted to play this game but i guess i will not.

I did, what I had to do was install it both on origin and steam to get it to work,

I am having the exact same issue. I am running Steam Big Picture via Nvidia Shield. I press Launch, it says it's running and then nothing. When I exit Big Picture it then says that games are running and asks me if I want to quit.

Edit: Come to think of it I think this may have something to do with the Origin Launcher because I have been playing Dragon Age Inquisition for the past week on my Shield TV with zero issues until today. When I launch DA:I it will no longer detect my controller. Everything was perfectly fine last week when I last played.

at this point i just gave up. i luckily have the game using ea play, so i didnt pay the full price of the game. i feel sorry for those who bought it and cant play it. You can try this (installing it both on origin and steam (copying the game from steam to the origin games folder) :

I did, what I had to do was install it both on origin and steam to get it to work,

Doesn't work for me either. On Origin the game is greyed out, and steam I hit play and it just instantly closes.

OK after two weeks of trying to get it to run here is what I did, not saying it'll work for you though. I uninstalled the game and origin with CC Cleaner. re-downloaded game launched through steam. Then I did an uninstall of all MS visual C installs. and used the VC rest. in the origin folder (all of them). *** Note I have my steam folder on a separate drive and installed origin on the same drive. Noticed when I launched game through steam it did not give me an option to login to origin..*** I then attempted to run game through origin had to login and it immediately started downloading the expansions. I tried to open through origin it failed to open. went to steam common apps folder and tried the trial version. it me a login error. used normal exe and it ran. After that I was able to run it through origin. Hopes this helps.

make your origin go offline mode then start the game from there. don't lunch the game from the steam. this works for me all the time. if i try to lunch this game with my origin in online mode the game won't start. hope this works for you !
