I have spent about 5 hours on it today, if you include the download times for all these fresh installations EA "support" keeps telling me to do. I have been told twice now, by EA, that it is in Steam's hands now. Steam has to grant us access... somehow. Supposedly. I don't even know how to reach out to Steam because when I tried I ended up on a page with all of Andromeda's information, like specs requirements and store page... No way to submit a ticket from there. Unless I'm blind, which is entirely possible given how numb my face has become from all this.
I'll keep trying to get in touch with Steam about it but if I can't get access to online components or multiplayer then the game's store page needs some sort of warning about this as it seems to be a common enough problem, given what I have read online so far. You're absolutely right, this is a completely nonsensical, silly, problem to be having.
If anything works out for me I'll let you know.
Thanks. On my part I subben into EA Play within Steam for a month to test if it would work as a makeshift solution. Once I try it I'll let you know.
The probabilities of Steam getting involved in this are pretty low, to the point EA support just encouraged me to refund the product, lol. Which I did, in the end.
At this point I wonder if purchasing/subbing again in Origin would fix it but not sure if its worth the hassle.
Yeah they gave me the same half-assed reply. Steam will wipe its own ass as well regarding this matter. I mean, they even encouraged me to refund the product. They just dont want to commit to a solution, which is sad.
If anyone has a working solution, please share.
Sadly there was nothing to be done, even EA when I contacted them told me to just refund it. Haven't tried if getting it for console "fixes" the issue but I just gave up with the broken product, any desire I had to play it, died.
