Performance on an RX 5700XT at 1440p Ultra
Havarl is the hardest hit on frame-rate that I've found.

I don't think many will deny that MEA is a beautiful game (ignoring the animations for the moment). But in this video you'll also get to see some of the "bugginess" that ppl like to complain about. Like the stutter for the first 2:30 of the video that then completely disappears (until we load into a new area). Or loot from a dead enemy that is sunk under the ground. Or your krogan squad-mate literally standing NEXT to the enemy firing at you and doing nothing.

5700xt user here too, and according to Radeon Control, my average FPS is at 107. 2560x1440 on a 144hz monitor.

I have not been to Havarl in a while, so dunno about there.

Are you on ultra?
Off of Havarl my frame rate is between 75 and 100 depending what's on screen. When I make these performance videos I try to show the worst case scenario.

I doubt you'll get 100fps on Havarl. That'd be almost double what I average in the video.

Yeah, because everyone shopping a 5700XT has $1200 for a 2080Ti. this is sarcasm

I have a RX 580 OC and play on Ultra with no issues. I did have a 5700xt and got rid of it (last week to replace it with the 580) because the 5700xt just doesn't handle games well. I was constantly running into frame rate issues and the overheating was biblical.

I'm guessing Ultra at 1080p with the RX 580, not 1440p.

Which 5700XT did you have?

I would like to know that too, I have had mine, Sapphire Pulse 5700XT since it was released and have never had issues big enough for me to want to downgrade that severly.

If you guys are using the ultra preset just go in and check frame scaling option. I was blown away that i could max this game out, then digging in settings i found it had defaulted to 720p frame scaling :steamfacepalm:

Turned that off and it looked way better, had to reduce some settings because true 1440 was ofc harder to run. Ended up on high at 1440p with a 1060, just curious if it does the same to everyone with the 720 scaling thing :)

^Had that happen to me w/ DOOM 2016. Was playing at 4k maxed and amazed at the performance. Then I realized the render scaling was at 50%. :steamsad:
