Their answer was that if you want these games on Steam you need to rebuy them on Steam.
No free keys, transfer or anything.
We are talking EA here.
OK, I can come to terms with not being able to play the game on Steam unless I first log in on Origin. But.... what was the point of buying it on Steam in the first place? What benefit do I have from owning it on both Steam and Origin?
Also, I can't even get my Steam copy to open via Origin because it can't locate the product code. So I am tempted to return the game from Steam and get a refund.
I was looking forward to being able to play the game separately from Origin. At the very least, I was looking forward to being able to open the game and play it, period. What gives?
You are correct, of course. In the future, I will carefully read messages for all games from EA that are sold on Origin already. Sheesh. C'mon, computer companies, you're not making any friends here.
You can still ask for a refund, which you honstly should... considering you get no benefit from buying twice.
Way ahead of you. I did write to Steam customer support asking about the issue - I mean, if there is ANY benefit from buying it twice, I'd like to know. Otherwise, refund it is.
