Yeees!

What happens when you have achievements on your EA profile for a game you already own on Origin and you might re-buy on Steam, are those old achievements pulled towards Steam instantly when you launch the Steam version?

Or are the achievements different and independant?

I personally bought all of my Origin games twice on Steam and today it pays off! and yeah, you unlock all of your achievements instantly, if you unlocked them before!

For the purpose I guess of building a consistent library, such as a DVD/Blu-ray/UHD real library where the work of art you collected make sense once brought together.

I suppose it goes along what the French philosopher Michel Onfray said about writers libraries, after the death of a notorious writer, his library should be preserved and put in a museum, so that anyone could consult it, see which books the writer owned, what notes he wrote on their pages, etc.
