Is Origin/EA Cross Platform with Steam?

Can Origin/EA and Steam users cross-play together in Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2? If you can, how does one add each other on each platform to play together? I have a cousin that loves both of the Star Wars Battlefront games and am thinking of getting both if it's cross platform between Origin/EA and Steam, thanks!

Can't speak for Battlefront 1 (2015) but for Battlefront 2, yes, it is cross platform. I play the game through Origin while my brother plays through Steam. Steam users must have an Origin account in order to play the game (similar to how Battlefield 1/5 work through Steam also). Adding each other is done through Origin.

EDIT:

Star Wars Battlefront 1 works between Origin/EA and Steam, just tried it now. Now me and my cousin can play both Star Wars Battlefront games without a problem :-D

Origin eventually turned into the EA app.
