Modding and Multiplayer

Hey all, i got this game on special the other day and i saw a couple of videos about modded characters and i was wondering how this effects multiplayer? Are these mods purely cosmetic or is there like a modded multiplayer.

MP won't work, most popular modpacks will come with MP disabled anyway, so you'll have to play against bots, but you can play online with others via Kyber which is totally different standalone servers.

kyber is the modded MP its kinda annoying to set up (last time I checked been a while) but if you can get it working its very fun. Regular MP modding is just basically cosmetics only.

So v1 doesn't even work anymore (and even when it did it was pretty dead considering the game already has a low player count.) I was pretty much playing with bots 88% of the time. I'll say the upside to solo kyber servers was the ability to play regular MP modes with the bots and not be locked to co op only. And any mod can be basically be used. They are working on a v2 but only patreon users can currently get it afaik.

edit: v2 is in a beta stage and you can sign up for it but you do have to be selected.
