I don't think the game is dead I think EA servers are terrible and screwing up match making. My theory is that there are tens or hundreds of lobbies with a few people in each one

Yes, people play.
But i just don't recommend buying it unless you want to die every 15 seconds. And this is not a figurative expression. Because the majority of players there are nolifers with thousands of gaming hours and cheaters.
