Help with stuttering?
I have an AMD RX 5500 XT 8GB, and this game stutters A ♥♥♥♥ TON. This issue does not happen with any other game on my PC, it's specifically this game. Battlefield 3 and 4, other Frostbite games, also do not have this issue. I'm genuinely confused what's causing this. I have the Origin overlay disabled, I have cleared all download caches on all applications, I have disabled "game mode" on Windows, I have even disabled DirectX 12 in BF2, and nothing is working. Frame counts say I'm getting decent FPS, mostly an average of 80-100+ on maps that aren't "shiny". Regardless, this stuttering literally makes the game unplayable. Is there any fix for this? Anywhere? All and any help is appreciated.

Sometimes it can be something silly like simply updating your graphics card.

Wouldn't be the first time & I'm not ashamed to say it happened to me 2 years ago when trying to play Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor.

Definitely wont hurt to check.

The last update for my card was something like February 1st or second of this year, and I did download it too. I'm not sure what it could be. I guess I could check the AMD site again?

This game cant handle newer hardware , try to put post processing to low (in-game settings) and if this isnt enough try to use direct x 11 instead of 12 if neither work well.... its not on ur end , game badly needs an update to support newer hardware but this game has dropped all support sadly :(

How much RAM do you have? Afterburner says this game uses around 10gb for me so if your on 8 that could be causing stutters unrelated to FPS. If your on 16gb it shouldnt be a problem though :)

Try turning off DX12, requires restart.

I have 8 GBs. I will be updating that RAM soon as well, that is probably the problem then.

lol I switched from an AMD card and have enjoyed life way better.
Don't get me wrong, their CPUs are amazing value, GPUs its better to just go with nVidia.

I do agree, but AMD's GPUs are very much cheaper than NVIDIA's, which are way overpriced.

Well, you get what you pay for then.. I've heard about those cards having driver issues.. so maybe it's that.

I agree, you get what you pay for with NVIDIA cards. Anyway, it could most likely be a driver issue? I know some developers favor some cards over others, which in this case, would possibly be NVIDIA?

Ages ago when the XTs released people mentioned driver issues and stability. How they are now? I'm not sure. When I had my RX580 I had no stuttering what-so-ever. Is FreeSync or any of those goober options enabled?

Also what's your CPU? Maybe that could be it too since you noted issues with BF3 and BF4, both of which are CPU heavy games ..

No. I don't think I can even use Freesync being that my monitor is 60 HZ and not something over that. With that, it's 16:10 monitor, which I hear is very much unnatural for a monitor. I'm not sure what "goober options" exactly means either.
