Should I purchase this game? Rumors about servers being shut down soon

I've heard rumors that EA/Dice has given up on support of this game and that servers will be shut down in a year or so. Is that remotely true? Having played EA games for a while now and knowing their history, I wouldn't be surprised if they allocated any remaining resources to the new Battlefield 6 they're working on.

I couldn't find any concrete evidence of an impending shutdown, but has anyone else heard the rumors as well regarding the shutdown within a year or so?

There have been rumors of the servers being shut down for years, so you can ignore that until we get a statement from EA stating it.
