Are Rebels a worthless faction?
So, I don't know but whenever I play team vs team on a Rebellion map, Rebels pretty much get curb stomped. Especially in wide open maps like Scarif or Hoth.
I get the feeling that Rebels have very little in useful special units. On the Imperial Side, both the Deathtrooper and the Imperial Agent can pretty much kick ass.. On the Rebel Side, we have the Wookie Warrior with his poor aim and very low rate of fire, easily loosing any shoot-out and the Ewok, who while good at being a pest, also has a very low rate of fire and is not good at hitting targets that move side-ways.
Now add to that that the Imperials can also spawn the AT-ST and you have a faction that can pretty much buttf*** the other in evey encounter. The only somewhat balanced map in my experience is the Death Star, due to its tigh hallways and pre-disposition towards ambush.
With every other period, both sides seem to have good units. Clones and Droids both have awesome units that rock in their own way. Even the Resistance has some great units, but Rebels are pretty much the most useless faction in the game.

Wookie Warrior - you hold a point with some cover (wall preferred) next to the point and when enemy 3 are on the point, you rush the point and use the slam. (the slam has knock back good to use before running from a hero) then you back up to the cover and use your nades and melee to mop up and overload when you need to get back to cover or waiting on cool down.

cards i use: Battle Hardened, Enforcer Training, Expert Weapons Handling.
-------------------------------------------------
Ewok Hunter - ewok's are a special you run around then your horn is active crouch and hide when its down, you need to run around and be active in peoples faces enemy, and just punch him if you se a group of more then 2 you use a now and strafe if you see a mob of more then 3 you use Wisties Pouch, and Hunter's Instincts and you use Valiant Horn before you do anything to a person and be evasive and try not to attack if its down

cards i use: Interrogation, Stalker, Acquisition

I think the rebels have a great hero selection, but earning the points to get there is a drag.

its about even, but its a different play style and if you're not used to it it can make the faction feel dumb like empire enforcer vs the rebel enforcer are 2 almost different play styles but the same class, like WTH?
-------------------------------------------------
you can see that with wookies, you have a ground pound to do aoe damage but the bow-caster is a person weapon, vs the Darth trooper that buffs it's HP and has a rapid fire mode for high dps.
--------------------------------------------------
ones not worse then the other its just different play styles are required for the same class, some one at EA was smoking something with they programmed the classes and hero's

Alright, then please tell me how to play Rebels to their strenghts.
What do I need to do to succeed as a Rebel Player?

The biggest problem with OT era supremacy (safe to assume that is the mode in question) is Vader and Death Troopers but mostly Vader. If the Empire gets a semi competent Vader the Empire isn't losing.

The biggest tip for playing as the Rebels is that the hero is either Luke or Yoda. The blaster heroes just aren't good enough. They are free kills for Vader and easily eaten alive by the Death Trooper horde.

Reinforcement wise on open maps like Hoth you should be the rocket jumper while on tighter maps you should be the wookie. In direct combat both would lose but if you use the aerials mobility you should be able to do good damage to a death trooper, the wookie you sort of need to catch them off guard and use all your abilities, its tough but very possible. Ewoks are just a fun gimmick if you end up in an imbalanced server and know your team is better.

Trooper wise you want to be a heavy with a T21, if there are AT STs use ion torpedo and ion turret.

Not really, just capture one command post then go to the middle command post where all the action is and start getting kills. Some maps you can even get to the middle cap for those points.

Balanced lobbies were rare in this game, since the start.

The constant buffs to the heroes made Vader borderline God-mode.

A team with a decent Vader and good Palps should never lose. None of the light side heroes can hang with them, especially with all the damage resistance Vader gets.

Add to this team at least 2-3 good Death Troopers and Rebel team won't stand a chance.

battlefront 2 was originally built with heavy micro transaction and invasive predatory practices in mind its why their perks are cards, and every thing is in a crate.
---------------------------------------------------------------
battlefront 2 is only the way it is now because EA got hit hard with fines in just about every country other then the us for gambling to minors.
---------------------------------------------------------------
(the quality of life was just to cover their butts. like minor balances patches, and quality of life improvements) but ea might go under because 2042 was a bag of mistakes, they could only do well if they release masterpieces from here on out.
--------------------------------------------------------------
not incomplete games patched into being complete saying its free dlc or extra payed content (EA this past 8 years has been like: reload animations and radical customization is added in i hope you like the "free content" 😉 now buy more radical corers in and try out different animations loot crates for $5.00 each) it wasn't reload animations and colors but it was the command wheels, perks, and heros

I'd rather play as an Ewok and have a T8 following me on battlefield to be honest, then playing as any hero in this game.
