Now I just need to wait for them to actually delete it. What's so crazy is that 2FA was enabled on my account and then the hacker hacked my password and logged in. They turned off 2FA just like that which is crazy. You can turn off 2FA without first getting a code or something like that via mail or message which is very weak security from EA. I have never had such a bad experience with a company before.
Getting hacked is rough, but being able to just call EA and expect them to believe you when you can't provide the information they request...you wouldn't even need to hack people's accounts then if that were the case.
You have to take some responsibility. You're getting angry with a company that wants to validate the person contacting them so unauthorised access doesn't happen.
If 2FA has also been compromised then you need to change everything: email, phone number, passwords etc. Only way 2FA can be turned off is by accessing 2FA. Or approaching EA with the information they need to turn it off. Change every password. Change every PIN. Change every security question. Own your data.
Either way, the hacker appears to know more about your information than you do. That's the issue.
