should i play battlefront 1 first?

Do you need to play the first to really get this one or am I overthinking it while their on sale? I only bought 2 as I figured it's better graphics, gameplay, etc.

Battlefront 1 didn't have a story campaign, so you can go ahead and get BF2, its the better version, but like Deathroth points out, the 2005 game is superior.

The 1st was prob the better shooter, but it is mostly dead. Give it a skip. There is barely any sp content.

2 has a lot of balance issues due to the tiered combat, but has more options for sp or coop.
