Stopped working on Steam Deck

I was playing the game just fine on Friday using Proton Experimental to work around the new EA app issue, but now today the game will not launch at all. Still works on my Windows PC. Anyone else with a Steam Deck having this issue?

I already tried verifying game files and several versions of Proton GE.

I get the windowed black screen on startup on my steam deck. I got it to run yesterday using gamemoderun %command%. Now just the black screen.

I have this game on Epic store. But I can't seem to get this game to run as well. When I click play it won't launch. But my other EA games like Battlefield 1 and Mass Effect Legacy Edition work fine. Not so sure what the issue is.

I am having the same issue too. other EA games work but Battlefront 2 wont start.

Someone made a suggestion that works. Go to the game in your library and press the hamburger (the button with three horizontal lines), go to Developer and select “Delete Proton Files”. It should redownload them and the game should work.

I saw this suggestion after I uninstalled and reinstalled the game, which took way longer but also worked.
